Grapevine Craft Brewery Brand Identity
This North Texas craft brewery entered the flourishing local craft beer scene in late 2012 with the goal of producing great, local craft beer in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas. The founder was a beer lover armed with a big idea and grand vision for the brewery. That vision has become a reality today and GCB is now on tap at locations across north Texas and the Austin, Texas area. Canning operations have now begun and the beers began appearing in beer aisles at Kroger, Central Market, Whole Foods, Specs and select Costco locations spring 2014. We have had the privilege to have been GCB's brand development, identity development and product development partner since the very beginning of the brewery. The Challenge GCB founder, Gary Humble, approached us in Summer 2012 needing full brand development, identity development, creative copywriting and digital experience development. Gary knew he needed a strong brand identity to signal his serious intent to launch the brewery, especially with potential investors and banks, so funding would be available to hire key staff and construct the brewery. The Solution As we worked through the brand development process and moved toward identity development the personality of the brand began to take form as a strong, Texas rooted brand. Not only did we work on the primary identity for the brewery but the initial beer brand identity was developed alongside the primary brand as a natural part of the process. Another natural output of brand development projects are slogans and tag lines. We have continued to extend the visual expression of the brand into promotional items, product packaging, vehicle wrap design and new beer brands coming soon.
